During 2011, 3DF provided support for ongoing projects to 11 implementing partners. A new project started this year, in an area of Mon state threatened by artemisinin resistance. Activities focused on the delivery of preventive, diagnostic and treatment interventions across international and local non-governmental organisations (INGOs, LNGOs), the National Malaria Control Programme (NMCP), through the World Health Organization, and the private sector working with trained general practitioners. The Fund manager’s office (FMO) facilitated the transition of previously 3DF funded activities to the Global Fund round 9, especially continuing support to cover procurement gaps.
