3DF Key Results 2011
By the end of 2010, the seven donors to the Three Diseases Fund (3DF) had pledged US$136 million to reduce the burden of HIV, tuberculosis (TB) and malaria in Burma/Myanmar with over $106 million worth of grants awarded to34 Implementing Partners. This funding has supported 32 HIV projects, 10 TB projects, 15 malaria projects, and five integrated projects. In 2011, the Fund was very much focused on its preparation for closure and the disposal of assets. This worked in tandem with conducting an exercise to identify critical areas in need of support beyond December 2011 amongst those activities not being absorbed by the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis, and Malaria (Global Fund).
