Projects and Implementers – January to December 2011

In 2011 3DF had 32 implementing partners. 25 partners of which worked in HIV, 7 in TB and 11 in malaria. 4 partners implemented integrated projects of all 3 diseases.

HIV

3DF funded 28 HIV projects in 220 townships across Myanmar. View a map of the HIV projects.
Of the 25 partners working in HIV, the majority worked with people living with HIV and their families (21) and with sex workers (16). Many partners have complex programmes that cover multiple target groups. View a graph of HIV partners and target groups.

Malaria

3DF funded malaria projects in 274 townships across Myanmar. View a map of the malaria projects

TB

In 2011 there were TB projects in all 325 townships in the country. This was implemented by AHRN, WHO (NTP-MMA-FFM), Malteser, Merlin, MSF-Holland, PSI and World Vision. AHRN, IOM and Phaung Daw Oo Monastic Education High School had integrated projects that incorporated TB initiatives into broader public health programming.

Implementing partners

Since 2006, the Fund has signed grant agreements worth US$113 million to 35 implementing partners for 65 projects, making it the biggest single contributor to the fight against the three diseases in Myanmar.
