Annual Review Meeting on 1-2 April 2008

The Three Diseases Fund (3DF) held its first Annual Review on Tuesday and Wednesday 1-2 April 2008 in Yangon. The review was the opportunity to present the fund’s overall performance, achievements and lessons learned with the participation of all key actors and donor representatives. One of the important outputs of the review was the identification of the fund’s policy and programme priorities for the next year.

In presenting the contributions and achievements of 3DF implementing partners over the past year, the Annual Review also provided the Technical Strategic Groups (TSGs) and National Programmes with an opportunity to introduce policy work and national priorities as well as the key results of the national response in addressing the three diseases. These presentations can be viewed and downloaded from the agenda page.

The 156 participants were drawn from the fund's recipients, representatives of the national disease control programmes, international aid agencies and embassies.

Finally each 3DF implementing partner had the opportunity to show case a "successful story" or a lesson learnt in 3DF programme implementation in an exhibition called market place.
